Was balloon boy’s dad so anxious for fame that he planned to kill his six year old son at the heart of the balloon scandal that captured America’s attention last week?
According to unconfirmed sources, the Colorado father of three had been in touch with key contacts in Foxnew’s high profile crime buff Nancy Grace’s circle and offered the child as her next great missing child story.
“The balloon story is just the tip of the iceberg when measured against the lengths Heene was (and still is) willing to go to be the celebrity he feels he deserves to be,” a source says.
Heene’s fixation on becoming a media celebrity, however, does not seem understated as earlier in the year he attempted to market a story to William Shatner.
“His story is overblown,” the Emmy winner told E! News about a supposed conversation he had with Heene about hosting a show. “He’s inflated the amount of contact we’ve had.” Shatner’s quoted as saying.
“There’s no question about,” the source says. “Richard’s willing to kill all the members in his family for the right opportunity.”
